Starting over in 2019

Hello friends!

I have always been the type of person to seek continual growth in some form through reading, writing, listening to podcasts, talking to people, reflecting and understanding different world views. But I have never shared what I has been so valuable in my own personal and professional growth and development.

This is the first of many “what I’ve learnt” monthly recaps.

I’m going to start by saying that one of the biggest lessons I learnt in January was to be patient. To be patient in the Lord, in my studies, in my relationships, in my business procedures. Patience is a virtue, and definitely something that we can all benefit from.

The Lord tells us to give all our worries to Him, so that we can wait on his timing, for the purpose of our life to formulate and for us to take intentional action for the correct reasons.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6

Every day is a constant reminder to start over fresh and give your worries to the Lord through prayer. When you feel anxious, stressed or fearful about the unknown the best advice I could give you is to PRAY.

Resting in the Lord has been such a game changer in my life – I no longer get as stressed or anxious, and when I do – I try and focus my attention on God and give my worries to Him, because the more we worry about the issues in our lives, the more the issues take our focus away from glorifying God wholeheartedly.

But, sometimes I also feel it is important to feel all our feelings, allowing all emotions, worries, fears and joy to be felt and not necessarily to be made sense of in that current moment but to allow yourself to feel, and then let go.

When we let go of our worries, we can focus our energy on what is important, pure and right. We can focus our energy on what we are able to control and take action over.

Lets focus on being inspiring, passionate, motivating, grateful and open minded so that we are able to deal with our issues with God as our source of strength moving forward! January taught me so many lessons around patience, resting in the Lord and letting my faith guide me to do what is right and what I am passionate about. January taught me to rest both spiritually, mentally and physically and the rewards that follow are incredible. My passion has never been so fuelled by the Word of God, my relationships have never been stronger and more loving and my desire to gain knowledge has never been stronger all because I invested in rest.

And I hope that you too, may find the rest and patience that you need in the months to follow, because YOU deserve to find patience, peace and understanding in your life! May the Lord guide you, protect you, and nourish your soul as you rest daily in His Word.

With peace and love, Frankie x
